Yuverta Amsterdam Oost is een kleine en overzichtelijke school met 300 leerlingen op het vmbo en praktijkonderwijs. Bij ons op school leer je veel door te doen: ontdekken wat je leuk vindt en waar je goed in bent. Je krijgt techniek, je leert koken, je werkt met planten en je leert dieren te verzorgen. Ook je talenten in de ‘gewone’ schoolvakken zijn van belang. Zo bereiden we je voor op de juiste keuzes voor je vervolgopleiding. Wij hebben een kansklas voor leerlingen die tussen praktijkonderwijs en vmbo in zitten. Zij krijgen extra ondersteuning bij taal, rekenen en in het vak waar de achterstand het grootst is. Na deze school kun je alle kanten op, zoals naar het ROC economie, techniek of verzorging, of een groene opleiding bij een AOC. In de onderbouw ligt de nadruk op persoonlijke vorming: je leert om zo actief en zelfstandig mogelijk te leren.
