Xplore is een school waar volgens het Agora-concept wordt gewerkt. Agora-leerlingen doen onderzoek naar de wereld om hen heen. In plaats van schoolvakken met huiswerk, toetsen en methodes, maakt ieder kind zijn/haar persoonlijke leerroute door het uitvoeren van zelf bedachte 'challenges'. Dit gebeurt vanuit eigen nieuwsgierigheid, vragen en interesses. Leerlingen werken en leren in gemixte groepen qua leeftijd, basisschooladvies en culturele achtergrond. De docenten hebben een begeleidende rol en noemen we daarom coaches. Zij begeleiden de leerlingen bij hun challenges. Na een aantal jaar begint een leerling dan aan de grote challenge van het eindexamentraject. Op deze manier haalt iedere leerling binnen vier tot zeven jaar zijn/haar diploma. Omdat het Agora-concept openstaat voor alle leerlingen, ongeacht het basisschooladvies, worden in het kader van kansengelijkheid en het creëren van brede brugklassen de niveaus vmbo-havo-vwo aangeboden.
