Het VierTaal College Amsterdam (VCA) is een openbare school voor leerlingen met een auditieve en/of communicatieve beperking. Het VCA verzorgt praktijkonderwijs, vmbo en havo. VCA biedt reguliere leerstromen aan in een aangepaste onderwijsomgeving. Wij staan voor onderwijs op maat voor alle leerlingen van de doelgroep in Amsterdam en omgeving. Dat sluit aan op ons motto: Gelijke kansen door verschil te maken. De school streeft naar een zo groot mogelijke communicatieve en sociale zelfstandigheid van de leerling door het bieden van zinvol en toekomstgericht onderwijs. Hierdoor kunnen leerlingen naar wens en aanleg een opleiding volgen en zo hun plaats in de maatschappij vinden. De school heeft een uitgebreide zorgstructuur, inclusief een groot netwerk met externe partners.

Cluster

Cluster 2

Cluster 2 includes schools for children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing, children with severe speech/language difficulties or a language development disorder (LDD) and children with autistic spectrum disorders where the focus is on communication. At cluster 2 schools, the personalised approach is key to making communication as easy as possible for the children. These include speech computers, digital textbooks and a focus on lip reading and speech training. The interests of these schools are represented by the national cluster association Siméa.
