Het Orion College Noord biedt voortgezet speciaal onderwijs aan leerlingen van 12 tot 20 jaar. De leerlingen zijn licht tot matig beperkt met sociaal-emotionele problematiek. De uitstroommogelijkheden variëren van activiteitgerichte dagbesteding tot arbeid. Jaarlijks stromen meerdere leerlingen uit naar een Pro-ROC-traject. Wij bieden naast de cognitieve en creatieve vaardigheden ook praktische opleidingen aan. Naast interne stages bieden wij eveneens externe stages aan. Wij vinden het belangrijk dat de leerlingen zich oriënteren op vrijetijdsbesteding. Daarom biedt de school drie keer per week naschoolse begeleiding aan via Jongeren Die het Kunnen (JDK). Twintig zaterdagen per jaar wordt door Stichting Tamino cultuuronderwijs aangeboden door de Kunst Helden. Voor leerlingen met een stadspas zijn deze activiteiten gratis.
