Basisschool de Odyssee, de school waar leren een ontdekkingsreis is. Een school die werkt volgens het concept Ontwikkelings Gericht Onderwijs in alle groepen. We geven ons onderwijs vorm in thema’s waarbij we de leerinhouden zoveel mogelijk in onderlinge samenhang aanbieden. Leren voor kinderen moet spannend, uitdagend, soms moeilijk en soms gemakkelijk zijn. Leren doe je bij voorkeur in een groep, kinderen leren zo van en met elkaar. De school zorgt ervoor dat basisvaardigheden zoals lezen, rekenen en schrijven optimaal aangeboden worden, daarnaast zijn spelen, ontdekken, onderzoeken en samenwerken belangrijk. Excursies in de échte wereld horen erbij, want leren doe je niet alleen op school.
